Why Adopt From Us?
We truly CARE and are PASSIONATE about cats.
We foster all of our cats in loving homes, so we know the purrsonality, compatibility, likes and dislikes of each and every cat we adopt.
We are the only local cat rescue that microchips their cats. Period. Each microchip has a lifetime registration. Most chip companies charge $18+ a year to renew service. Ours is lifetime and is registered with the AAHA - American Animal Hospital Association. If you lose your cat, every veterinarian knows about it and knows where your cat belongs to ensure that he safely returns to you.
We test for 3 things before your cat is adopted: Feline FIV/AIDS, Feline Leukemia, and Heartworm. Most rescues only test for Feline Leukemia.
We stay in contact. Should you ever have any questions about your cat's feeding or potty habits, behavior, etc., we are here. It doesn't end with the adoption.
WE CARE ABOUT OUR CATS. PERIOD.
Please remember, we do not do same day adoptions. If you are interested in adopting a cat from us, please click on the Adoption Form tab above. Fill out and email it to: or you can fill out an application there. See you there!
Funds are always needed for food, litter, and veterinary care. We will never turn a cat in need away. Everyone deserves a chance to live, to be sheltered from the elements, to be cared for, loved, and happy .

To ensure the
HAPPINESS & HEALTH
of our Seniors (both humans and feline), any senior citizen age 60 or older may adopt a senior cat at 1/2 off our adoption fee.
Owning a cat helps people to live longer by being more connected and sociable, routinely caring for a pet, improving health by lowering blood pressure, and there are many, many other benefits! Please click on the links below for more information and benefits.
Seniors make GREAT pet owners. They are attentive and loving and often the best place for a loving and lonely cat to be.
Say hello to MaxaMittens! This sweet boy is a large, blue tabby with white mittens on his chest and toesies, approximately 3 years old.
MaxaMittens is a super sweet boy who was left behind in rural Culpeper when someone moved away from their home. The new owners took care of he and his siblings and contacted us before they moved to another state.
Max loves to snuggle up to you during your favorite Hallmark movie or while watching a football game.He follows you around the house and loves affection, being held, and being pet. His purrsonality very much lends itself to being a companion cat. He is very laid-back guy and gets along great with other cats - just a big friendly guy. Max came to us late January and is still awaiting his family to find him. He was chosen for adoption 3 times, but each time the adoption fell through - either bc the person found a kitten, or just changed their mind.
Max is an indoor only cat, has been neutered, dewormed, has a distemper and rabies vaccine, tested negative for feline leukemia and heartworm, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. (You won't have to pay $20 to renew every year.) Give us a call to add him to your family. 540.717.4420
